Freshmen Year Reflection

                For my Freshmen Year Reflection as I look back on my year I have changed in a very big way positively. I learned how to control my anger, keep my thoughts to myself, get my work done on time and try not to wait to the last minute to hand in my work. Last year I had the worst behavior, I was very disrespectful and didn’t care about anything expect for my work. I would talk back to my teachers and be ready to fight a student who disrespected me. Now that I’m in high school my whole attitude has changed I realized that all that is unnecessary I can get my work done without having to back talk the teacher I can keep all my thoughts to myself because it’s not going get me nowhere in the long run. I also learned to control my anger by not letting the little things get me mad and take me out of my     character. I learned to pace my work habits and when I first get an assignment to do some work and then continue to finish it as time goes by without waiting until the last minute. I changed in a positive way for my better, I am a hard worker not disrespectful and I think before I do and speak and think about the consequences. Unlike before I didn’t care about what the consequence was I was going to get my way. I realized with everything that I do now with all my good behavior and good grades that I don’t get in any trouble no more that my life is much easier without having to worry about getting into trouble. If I keep my work habits up and keep a positive attitude I will be successful in everything I do.

This I believe

I was listening to a recording about how a woman with an interesting story about her nationality, and about what her and her family went through. When she said people get treated a different way based on their nationality. From my own experience of feeling like I have been treated some way is when I would be up the suburbs and in line at wal-mart and the cashier was rude to me and tried to let a Caucasian person in front of me but my cousin intervened. It made me think that stuff like that probably happens everyday to any and everybody. Sometimes it happens around my neighborhood and some of the public places I go to like restaurants and amusement parks. Since I live in a mostly African American neighborhood you rarely see different types of nationalities, a few Caucasians and Chinese people but mostly African Americans. The woman’s story really interested me and informed me about how racism occurs everywhere and its wrong no one should have to go through that. Everyone was created differently but equal, so nobody has a right to judge another person because we all have flaws no one is perfect. I think it is a great thing she’s doing by standing up for people around the world and fighting for our rights to not have anymore racism occur and its making to easier for everyone and benefits us all to not have to worry about getting treated any way because of our skin color or being a girl or a boy.

Pusha T Diss

There has been talk that Pusha T has a diss track out coming at lil Wayne’s group Young Money/ Cash Money business. The diss is called Exodus 23:1, Pusha T said in his diss that Thou shalt not raise a false report: put not thine hand with the wicked to be an unrighteous witness.

To make it seem as if he wasn’t talking about the Young Money group which he was. Lil wanye came out with a diss to diss them back because he’s tired of people coming at his Young Money group and they have no right. He is the boss and the president so he can do want he wants. His group and him have been in the rap game for quite a while and feels although nobody should disrespect them and should look at them like they made the way for people would trying to rap now. Pusha T only made the diss because he felt like Young Money was coming at his group G.O.O.D music when young money rapper Drake said something about G.O.O.D. music in a rap verse when he was featured on Meek Mill song. Lil wanye the person in charge finally told a stand for rapper Drake because this is not the first person that came at Drake with nonsense. Lil wanye took his anger and went to twitter to say F Pusha T and anybody that love goes to show lil wanye is tired and will come at anybody if they disrespect any members of his team.

Career Day

For career day we had guests from a tax business, an attorney lawyer, and a commercial banker. All of these careers were very exciting and made me think about if I would like to do that in the future or is that a career I would be interested in to do for my life time career. The Tax business person would came told us how he dropped out of high school when he was younger and people told him that he wouldn’t be anything in life but now he owns his own taxes business. He worked at a taxes business place as a part time but before that he would do his own and others taxes and they told him he was very good. So at his part time taxes job he worked very hard and when his time was over there they hired him. Time went by and he couldn’t do side peoples taxes and try to keep his job so he did something risky and quit his job. At first it was hard for him but in time he got many more customers and had his own business. The attorney lawyer who came in to speak to us did lots of things not just being a lawyer, she tries to defend people as much as she cans because she is very passionate about her job and she loves it. The commercial banker who came in has also make a good living out of his career, he only became a banker because he liked the way it sounded and he was making money. Overall Career day was a great way to get some ideas of what I want to be when I grow up.

Girls in Afghan

The girls in Afghan are being hurt and almost killed for wanting to go to school. Some girls got sprayed in the face with chemicals on their way to school. People are really trying to kill these girls because they want their education. The girls are not getting scared away though they are still making their way to school each and everyday. The girls are making people around the world very proud for not listening to the people who doesn’t want them to succeed but are succeeding anyway and trying there best to get their education. They are making an example of how girls who can’t have an education should act. Even though their life is being in danger because they not allowed having an education they are still fighting to get their education despite the danger. Other girls around the world who are going through the same thing they are going through are looking up to them about how they are handling things and how they are still fighting. Girls are looking up to them as being heroes and role models, everyone should look at them as being an example of how everyone should have equal rights and everyone deserves an education. Education is the most important thing in life you need education to do anything so without an education you will not make it in life. You wont get any jobs and you wont be able to provide for yourself and or family if you have one. These girls are very brave for having people having death threats on them but are still fighting.

Lindsay Lohan framed ?

Lindsay lohan say she was framed by a lady that said she hit her and was very drunk, while Lindsay lohan says she was home that night. Lindsay pleads to people saying that it wasn’t her that night and this time she’s telling the truth she said she would never do anything like that. People are not taking Lindsay’s word because of her reckless actions in the past. Lindsay’s friend says all Lindsay does is try to gain her respect back and that she hasn’t been drinking the much and that she hasn’t been under the influence of any drugs. Sources say all Lindsay does is spill lies so she won’t get arrested and that she gets her friends to help her cover up her lies and she sometimes pays them to keep their mouth shut about what she does and they go along with it for the money they really don’t care about Lindsay personally. Lindsay have said that the lady whose saying she did it might be mistaking her with celebrity look alike Amanda Bynes she says Amanda has been getting DUI’s and has been seen in clubs getting wasted and that she needs her friends to help her walk and get to her car. They have been saying that Amanda has a drinking problem but her parents believe that she does not drink at all, but they have pictures on TMZ of Amanda being drunken getting help to get to her care from her friends. So there is a possibility that she might have gotten them mixed up.

George Zimmerman Charged

George Zimmerman wasn’t arrested when he shot Trayvon Martin, because he said he shot him in self-defense. Zimmerman has made interviews and statements about being innocent but the people don’t believe it not one bit. Zimmerman said he shot him because he was being suspicious and that it was something right with him and he is the neighborhood watchmen so he had to check it out. Police phone calls you can hear the police telling Zimmerman to leave the boy alone and let the police handle it but Zimmerman did not listen to the police so people are questioning why Zimmerman wasn’t in trouble or anything for not listening. People are wondering did Zimmerman only shoot and kill Trayvon Martin because he was black because they might have thought Zimmerman was racist. Zimmerman was not charged for killing him and it caused the case to get worldwide media attention from famous people like President Obama, Basketball teams, Keyshia Cole and the African American race. People were very disappointed that racism still happens today and that it is sad it had to happen to him and that no one should ever have to go through something like that ever in their life. Zimmerman went missing from his lawyers a few days ago and his lawyers dropped him, because he haven’t answered any phone calls or texts from them and he has been making interviews and giving statements without their permission. It is said that Zimmerman will be charged and will do some time in jail.

Kim Kardshian, Kanye, Kris, and Amber Rose drama

Kim Kardashian is dating Kanye West, which blows peoples minds. They would have thought after the divorce that she would have been single for a while because of her being so hurt in the marriage that’s it’s a shocker that she’s back on the dating scene. Kanye West has made a song called Theraflu that talks about him being in love with Kim but not being able to take it anywhere because she was married to Kris. Kanye says that he does not like Kris and should have got his close friend Jay-Z the co-owner of Kris team the Nets to get kicked off the team. Kris states the Jay-Z has no permission or authority to get Kris off the team he also states that Jay-Z is just a part owner of the team. Kris also says that he was faithful and loyal to Kim throughout the whole marriage but cannot say that Kim was the same. Kris feels that Kim was cheating on him with Kanye West and that she didn’t want it to get out to the public so she flied for divorce. Kris feels that Kanye needs to mind his own business and leave him alone because he’s over Kim and never wants anything to do with her anymore. It has been said that Kanye West and Amber Rose split up because Amber Rose says that Kanye and Kim were sneaking around together and Kim is a home wrecker and that she is not to be trusted at all.

Most Births Outside of Marriage, Under 30

In recent surveys it states that women under 30 are having children without being married. It is safe to say that the world we are living in today have changed since back in the day. Some women standards have lower, they are started o get careless and having kids and they’re not married. The percentages of unmarried moms have gone up increasingly. Some people think that having kids and your not married makes you a bad person or not being real women. It makes it seem as if your nothing if you bring a child into the world without being married is a sin or something. It is getting to the point where women think its okay and normal to not be married but have children which some think is not true at all. It is becoming normally to see women with kids and not being married. We don't need to let the children grow up thinking that it is okay to have kids at young ages and to have kids and not be married. Its plays a bad part on unmarried young mothers with children than on women with kids and that are married because it shows that you was raised the wrong way and you settled for less and let yourself become just another baby mom and not have the real family everybody wants and need but instead you are a girlfriend with children or a ex girlfriend with children. Its not a good look to gives a bad name to some women because they really are good women but they get put into the category of being just like the young unmarried mothers.

Kony 2012 : InvisibleChildren

In recent news a guy name Joseph Kony has been abducting children between the ages of 15 and under and turning them into his army of child soldiers and the girls in sex slaves. He also makes them kill their parents without any reason why he just makes them do it or he would kill them. He kills families right in front of their families and makes them watch how he kills them. Kony does this is all parts of Africa but since its not in the United States no one knows. A guy met a boy name Jacob who told him all about it and now they are fighting to help stop Kony and take him down. In order to do that the United States have to know about him because if they don’t they government will think no one cares so they wouldn’t do anything to help the kids in Africa. So a video came out a few days ago to make Kony famous. People are using 20 celebrities and 12 politicians’ to help make Kony famous and help make him known to everyone so that we can take him down. We only have until 2012 is over because the government would have given up by then and the mission to stop Kony would have been failed and it would go down in history that the United States gave up on another country that really needed us the most. So it is best that we help Kony become famous in order to take him down to make justice. 

Little girl death by punishment

I recently read an article called "2 charged in death of Ala girl forced to run." The article was about a girl who got killed from being on punishment. She was forced to run nonstop for three hours. That is what they say in the article. So being that it might have been parent crudity and they didn’t even think about that. Officials’ are suspicious of if that is the whole story or not but there is a witness that seen what happened at the time and maybe seen everything that went on but didn’t quite understand what was happening so just walked away to mind their own business. Her mother was very sad and hurt that her daughter has passed with what she thought was harmless punishment that she felt was okay for what she did. Her grandmother must be in denial of what happen to her granddaughter and she also must be very hurt that she forced her to run and yelled at her. Both mother and grandmother are very hurt that what they thought was harmless punishment ending up killing their kid and they are so sorry that they made her do that and yelled at her over something dumb like that now they cant get the kid back because of what they thought was harmless punishment. This is a very crazy situation of how a little girl loses her life over a little punishment of running nonstop. This shows you how really important how life is and how someone is here one day and gone the next.

I'm A Criminal

This story is about how a person thinks that everyone is a criminal including President Obama. She states that everyone has committed a crime at least once in their life. President Obama admitted to using a lot of drugs in his college years and now he's the President of The United States. So does that mean people will think it's okay or right to do/use drugs? Is President Obama making a good influence on people or is people thinking it's just fine to just do drugs like it's not illegal. This article might have an bad effect on people's opinion on their life and future what President Obama said could have changed some people's lives very badly, they could be doing drugs or even doing something worse then that and think it's okay and end up losing their lives because they were influenced by someone they trusted and looked up to as a role model which is President Obama. Even though President Obama wanted to be honest and tell people the truth so nothing comes out in the end because he wouldn't want it to hurt him as being President so he told people before anybody else could. So overall I think not everyone is a criminal i would think a criminal as a rapist or cereal killer or something like that and not something like running through a red light or J walking because thats not as extreme as the real crimes or criminals. So to me this article is very false well not researched good enough.

Photoshopped or Not? A Tool to Tell

''Dr. Farid and Eric Kee, a PhD student in computer science at Dartmouth, are proposing a software tool for measuring how much fashion and beauty photos have been altered, a 1-to-5 scale that distinguishes the very little from fantastic.'' People are saying that it is wrong for magazines and things in that nature to be altering the photos like that because it affects women in a bad way. It makes them think that they have to look like that for someone to like them or think their pretty and their wrong because everyone is beautiful in their own way in the inside and out. Some people don’t understand that and they think that looking like those photos that they need to look like that and they start to hurt themselves and when they do that it hurts their loved ones to see them like that and that’s a bad feeling to see your loved one change themselves to make someone else happy when really they don’t have to please no one or make anyone else happy but their selves. So Magazines and any other people that alters photos to the point its not really the same person anymore needs to stop doing that because they have no clue that their photos are making some women even men hurt their body images and them selves just to look like someone in a picture or to think they have to look like that because its in a magazine and they don’t have too. They’re beautiful how they are they don’t need to change anything.

Ipad's in China

In China people that works for the famous Apple Company makes the popular ''Ipad'', have been risking their lives just to survive. They're been deaths, and injures in the factories also poisonous deaths and explosions. These Chinese people get these jobs at Apple and risk their lives just to make a living. They have to go to work thinking about if their going to survive this day at work, are they going to get by without getting hurt or seriously injured. Apple Companies get factories in Countries or States that have little to none laws about working conditions. So therefore they’re being sneaky because they know that they are taking risks in America because of the death rates at their Companies and they know our Country is not having that. It is very weird how Apple is just letting Chinese people lose their lives over this company just to make their devices. It seems as if Apple Owners doesn’t really care if their workers are dying and getting seriously injured at their jobs on their property. If Chinese workers keep dying or getting seriously injured on the job either Apple should get shut down or the Apple workers should quit because that is just wrong to do that to people. If that happens Apple will maybe lose profits and the Apple Company will start to get bad reviews and people would stop wanting to buy their devices and Apple will end up failing at their Company and start to lose money and maybe even lose their Company if they don’t get it together hopefully they will.

Should Teens have Internet ?

Dr. Boyd is a researcher who is researching about how teens use the internet. It states that teens use the internet in a very productive way. They express their selves through the internet because there’s no one to tell them what to do or say and that helps them feel better about themselves. Teens can escape from their trouble lives on the internet. So teens shouldn’t be monitored on the internet because they barely have any privacy in the first place so you shouldn’t take their last resource away. It will cause a very bad negative effect on all teens if their internet ways are taken away or if their being monitored by someone. They will feel like they have nobody to listen to them or really can care about their problems or opinions. Teens will start acting out like sneaking out to parties with friends or anywhere. They will start breaking the law, drinking, having unprotected sex and fighting and or stealing. Parents really don’t want that so they shouldn’t be scared of what their child is doing online because that’s not harmful. They need to start thinking about what their child is doing when there not online because there’s many dangerous possibilities they can be doing that’s very harmful to them or someone else. So imagine what will happen to teens if their precious internet is taken away or watched my someone. The internet is really a great thing for teens nowadays. So it’s best that teens can keep their internet.

Plan B

There’s a pill for teenage females to take a pill called the plan B it’s not really an abortion pill but it helps stop pregnancy for teens. You can get it over the counter without a prescription so it starts some drama from different age groups about whether or not that is right or not. Some people think teens should not be able to have that kind of access to something extreme as a birth control pill. They feel this way because they think teens will become out of control and start having unprotected sex and not be responsible young adults parents try to raise them to become. Parents and family members will start to not trust their teens and then the teens will start to be sneaky doing things they’re not supposed to be doing. But then on the other hand people think it’s a good thing that teens can get the plan b pill over the counter because to them it might seem like the teens are being responsible and are becoming young adults. They think these are the steps a teen have to go through in order to grow in life from their mistakes. I think it’s a good thing but then again it’s not because some teens will abuse the privilege and take it as a joke and think its okay for them to be having unprotected sex. Some teens might be responsible and accidently slip up and have that problem and there’s the plan b pill for them.

Biggest News of 2011

The biggest thing of 2011 is when they killed Osama Bin laden, on that day they made history. On the tragic day of 9/11 2001 He was the guy behind all of the people killed on that day. Innocent lives were lost and also many family and friends were too. People mourned over their loved ones and friends till this day and when they found out the guy who took their loved ones away was finally found and killed from being captured from hiding for a very long time he was finally found and killed. I know that all those people are relived. There is rumors saying that he is not dead that they didn’t have proof he was dead they were just saying that, because they said his body got washed away but then later on they showed a picture of his dead body. They quickly became relieved again knowing that he was not going to hurt no one no more. That was the biggest news for 2011 because history was made because of a tragic event. It will go down in history because of what happened on 9/11 and how they killed the terrorist who made that happen. People say since we killed him his people is going to plan something bigger because that, but we all hope that President Obama has something planned if that does happen or at least thought about it. We really cannot risk putting any more innocent people’s lives in danger. So we will not have any more tragic events like 9/11.

Drake's and Common's Beef ?!

They're rumors going around about Drake from YMCMB and Common having beef over who knows what. People are starting to take sides which I believe is unnecessary because Drake and Common are in two different categorites Drake is more of a Rapper/Singer type but raps more then singing and Common is more poetry type of person. It all started because Common called out Rapper Drake because he says Drake is sweet and isn’t a rapper, so Drake got offended and that’s when a Diss record came out for Common for saying things about Drake. Then Common made a Diss record for Rapper Drake. They’re going back and forth over nonsense. My opinion id Drake is better then Common but everybody might not agree with me. If Drake is going at it with someone then everyone from his crew YMCMB is going ride with him so Common really has no chance. They say Common is jealous of Drake’s success so he came at him, because Common have been in the game for awhile now and haven’t had that kind of fame or react in people since he’s been out so he just might be mad at the fact that somebody like Drake is better then him and makes more money then him. Common shouldn’t have came at Drake in the first place because it makes him look jealous of him and weak. Even if it was a publicity stunt Common still gets no props for that one because that was just really a low blow for him to do that.

Chris Brown's New Tattoo

Chris brown was been seen with a new tattoo of his new girlfriend Karrueche Tran. People are questioning him about this tattoo because him and Rhianna have been going through problems and everyone knows that they were in love until the incident happened where Chris brown assaulted her and they were forced to break up and have a restraining order on him. People believe Chris brown's new girlfriend is a rebound but this tattoo of her face proves its much more then just a rebound and maybe even love. Rhianna took to twitter with her reaction but saying some mean stuff but no one really knows if it was directed to Chris brown or not. But it is obvious rhianna took to twitter to expose her feelings soon as she heard and seen so we all know it was for Chris brown even if rhianna will not ampett it because she doesn’t want to seem still in love and look like a dummy for still wanting somebody that put their hands on her she probably couldn’t take all of the critic for people and friends and family. For the first time ever Rihanna may not get her way this time because Chris brown has moved on and is in a happy relationship and is in love maybe its time for rihanna to figure that out and see that he’s happy and move on with her life and leave chris alone and be happy by herself. Maybe this is officially over for Chris brown and rihanna.
